Review Submission Requirements

Applicable CORENET X gateways, submission scope, architectural responsibilities, required deliverables, and project requirements are reviewed before BIM production begins. Relevant IFC+SG resources and project-specific instructions are also examined to establish the modelling requirements and expected BIM deliverables.

Prepare the BIM Setup

A well-structured BIM environment reduces downstream issues during model production. Project coordinates, levels, model structure, naming conventions, and file organisation are established before production begins. BIM authoring software, IFC export settings, and relevant IFC+SG resources are configured to provide a consistent modelling environment.

Populate IFC+SG Information

Architectural elements are assigned the appropriate IFC entities, property sets, and required parameter values throughout the modelling process. The official IFC+SG Mapping File and Glossary of Identified Components are referenced to ensure project information is incorporated consistently and accurately into the BIM model.

Export, Review and Validate

Before delivery, the IFC+SG model is exported, reviewed, and validated to verify geometry, coordinates, model completeness, and IFC data integrity. Validation tools are used to assess IFC schema compliance, model quality, and export accuracy. Any identified issues are resolved before the final BIM deliverables are issued.
